We opened Porano at 13323 Manchester Road in Des Peres, MO, because we wanted to share our love for simple, fresh Italian food. Having grown up around big bowls of pasta and family-style meals, we wanted to bring that same feeling to our community. At Porano, we do Italian fast—but the right way: fresh, flavorful, and made just for you.
What’s in A Name?
On a visit to Porano, Italy, James Beard award-winning chef Gerard Craft found inspiration. Or more accurately, it found him.

Chef Gerard Craft didn’t just visit Porano, Italy—he found a way of life. In this small town, he saw what really matters: good food, good people, and time spent together. At the dinner table, everyone’s equal. That spirit inspired our name—and everything we serve.
